The project resulted in the complete restoration of a farming village in the heart of the Florentine Chianti region. Prior to restoration, the property was in the worst possible condition, with a large part of the stone and brick walls crumbling, and nearly all of the floor-ceiling support beams and the wooden and brick floorings absent. The careful restoration was dictated by the desire to bring back to life a complex which was highly representative of past rural life, attempting to combine the use of traditional techniques and materials with modern constructive and technological methods. The recently completed restoration, which remained within its estimated budget, included the creation of six luxury apartments and an in-ground pool, located in a large garden surrounded by the vineyards and olive groves of the splendid Tuscan countryside.
